Have you ever drove through Indiana? | Indianapolis Engagement Photography | Ali & Stephen

"They've never drove through Indiana,
Met the men who plowed that earth,
Planted that seed, busted his ass for you and me,
Or caught a harvest moon in Kansas,
They'd understand why God made those fly over states..."

Ali came and met us at the fall 2016 Indianapolis Bride Expo.  Shortly there after, we met her and her fiance for coffee at a local Starbucks, (because when you run a business like we do, you spend a TON of time in coffee shops) so we could have an opportunity to discuss her day in more detail.  When I arrived, Ali mentioned she was already dead set on having us tell their story  for them, but that I would need to convince her fiance.  We left that meeting with an engagement session scheduled for November 13th.

Now, I was a little nervous about what to expect from Indiana that late in fall, but man, she did not disappoint.  We had a beautiful, crisp, clear and sunny fall evening to get our shoot in.  Ali & Stephen were naturals in front of the camera, instantly forgetting that we were even there taking (literally thousands) of pictures for them.

Upon receipt of her proofs, her initial "favorite" list topped 200.  We finally got it down to around 40.  Below is a selection of some of my favorites.

Thank you Indiana for a wonderful fall engagement session.  I will miss your warm light until it returns again in the spring!
