If you’ve been searching for a Fishers engagement photographer or wondering about the best new photo locations in Hamilton County, let us introduce you to one of our latest discoveries: Geist Park, home to the newly constructed Bell Ford Covered Bridge. Ella & Brayden’s mid-September session was our first chance to photograph an engagement here, and it quickly became one of our favorite parks near Fishers, Indiana.
This blog will highlight their romantic evening session, showcase why Geist Park is an incredible option for couples, and share expert tips from a wedding photographer near Fishers Indiana.
A Perfect Early Fall Evening

September in Indiana has that magical “in-between” feeling—part summer, part fall. Ella & Brayden’s session captured exactly that. The weather was comfortable, the leaves just beginning to shift, and the golden light of late summer wrapped everything in warmth.
They arrived dressed elegantly yet timeless: Brayden in khaki slacks and an off-white shirt, Ella in a flowing white dress with soft blue floral accents. Their wardrobe felt natural against the greens and golds of the park, and paired beautifully with the muted tones of the covered bridge.
Standout Moments from the Session
Engagement sessions are all about celebrating connection, and Ella & Brayden leaned into that fully. Some of the most memorable highlights included:
The champagne pop — a fun, celebratory moment that made them laugh together as the bubbles flew.
Spinning together with the bridge in the background — the motion and laughter created some of the most candid portraits of the evening.
Stealing kisses on the bridge walkway — framed by the bridge’s glass walls and evening light, these images captured their romantic side perfectly.

Like many parks, Geist was full of life that evening. Families were fishing, hikers strolled by, and even a few other photographers were taking advantage of the stunning backdrop. Far from being a frustration, it reminded us how lucky we are to have such a beautiful park just five minutes from our home in McCordsville.
Why Geist Park is a Hidden Gem for Engagement Photos

The Bell Ford Covered Bridge
The star of the park—and the session—is the Bell Ford Covered Bridge. Unlike traditional wooden covered bridges, this one features glass-paneled sides that allow soft, glowing light to pour in. When the sun sets in the west, the bridge becomes a natural filter for breathtaking portraits.
Seclusion Meets Accessibility
One of the best things about Geist Park is its balance of peaceful seclusion and easy access. It feels tucked away in the countryside, but in reality, it’s within walking distance of some of Fishers’ most popular neighborhoods. Parking is easy, trails are accessible, and couples don’t need permits for engagement photos.
A Versatile Backdrop
From tree-lined paths to river views to the iconic bridge, Geist Park offers multiple looks within one location. This makes it ideal for couples who want variety without having to travel between multiple spots.
