Meet Sidney & Devin: A Classic Love Story with Modern Elegance

"Working with Cody and his team was by far the best decision Devin and I made when it came to our wedding! From our very first consultation, Rogue Images made us feel completely at ease, listening carefully to our vision while offering expert advice to help shape the day’s photography into something truly unforgettable. When my husband and I received our gallery, we were speechless. Every photo we got back was absolutely breathtaking. Cody and Kendra captured each magical moment, from intimate glances to pure joy as we walked back down the aisle after saying, “I do”. The lighting, composition, and emotion in each photograph was captured with such care and creativity. Cody and Kendra didn’t just take photos; they told the story of our day in the most beautiful, authentic way possible. I cannot compliment Cody and his team enough. They are immensely talented, passionate and a joy to work with. If you're on the fence about who to book for your wedding, stop looking. Rogue Image is it." - Sidney & Devin

Devin and I met in the early Summer of 2019 through mutual acquaintances. I quickly decided, one conversation was not enough and asked him out on a date the next day. Over lunch, we instantly connected and what was supposed to be an hour long date quickly turned into two!

Devin and I were inseparable until I moved to Dallas, TX for college. Despite the distance, we continued to fall deeper in love. Almost 5 years later, Devin proposed in the Smokey Mountains after tacos and lots of tequila. In May of 2024, we moved to Pensacola, FL where we are loving an active, outdoor lifestyle. Devin is training as a pilot in the Marine Corps and I am looking forward to my next adventure now that I have finished planning our wedding!

Our wedding day was the most spectacular night of our lives. Devin and I could not have been happier with how it all turned out. We were married by our junior high teacher, in front of our closest friends and family. We felt fortunate to have 6 out of our 8 grandparents in attendance. As big foodies, we were psyched to have such an amazing menu. I enjoyed the red snapper ceviche best and Devin devoured the chili spiced pork tenderloin with pineapple.

We both loved dancing the night away to some classic rock after a few drinks! Getting married in Indy felt right, since this was our first home and where we fell for each other 6 years earlier. The only stressful thing was getting the groom in town in time, but like any good love story, it all was okay in the end!

Sidney and Devin had one mission for their wedding day: to get married, be surrounded by their favorite people, and have the best day ever.

A couple sits closely on a ledge, gazing at each other lovingly. She's in a floral gown, he's in a suit, with cityscape in the background.

Simple? Sure. But that focus allowed the rest of their celebration to reflect their style and energy. Devin, currently training to be a pilot in the Marine Corps, flew in from Florida just in time for the festivities. That in itself felt like a celebration. And with Sidney wearing a romantic gown from Marie Gabriel Couture Bridal and Devin in a sharp black-and-white tux, the pair looked like they stepped right out of a magazine.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?

Our biggest piece of advice would be to remember that this is supposed to be fun! Give yourself plenty of time to plan out the day so you don't get stressed or feel overwhelmed. When you can pass off a task to the maid of honor, best man, mother of the bride/groom, do it! They can alleviate some of the burden and they want to support you. It's more fun when the group is involved anyways.

They embraced timeless wedding traditions like a formal ceremony, a bouquet and garter toss, and a first dance under the lights—but did so with a sophisticated, luxurious touch that made the day feel completely personal.

Wedding Day Highlights: Rooftop Romance and Skyline Magic

The day began in the Regions Tower bridal and groom’s suites, both flooded with natural light and perfect for laid-back portraits. Sidney’s quiet moments getting dressed, the emotional buildup among her bridesmaids, and the nervous excitement from Devin were some of our favorite parts of the morning.

What was your favorite moment from your day?

Devin's favorite moment was seeing me after the door opened and watching me walk down the aisle. My favorite moment was taking 2 minutes after our ceremony to privately toast to our future and share a hug.

Their ceremony took place on the iconic rooftop patio, framed by modern altar florals designed by the venue itself. The views were sweeping, the vows were heartfelt, and the moment felt big yet deeply intimate.

After the ceremony, we snuck away for photos around the patio, capturing both wedding party joy and those quiet, romantic moments that always stand out.

At sunset, we invited Sidney and Devin to spend a few minutes alone, sharing a drink while taking in the city they love. That brief moment—the golden hour glow, the quiet smiles, the peace of just being together—was one of the most meaningful parts of their day.

Making the Day Their Own

What we loved most about Sidney & Devin’s wedding was how much it reflected their style. Sidney’s shoes (yes, we’re still obsessed), Devin’s tux, the altar florals, and the rooftop dancing—it all screamed intentional, elevated, and elegant.
