Few wedding venues offer the charm, scenery, and laid-back elegance that you’ll find at a Sycamore at Mallow Run wedding. Nestled in the heart of Bargersville, Indiana, this vineyard venue is a summer wedding dream — and Ally & Eddie's June celebration was no exception. From a full Catholic Mass at St. Roch Catholic Church to sunset portraits among the vines, their day was a perfect reflection of love, tradition, and joy.

As a Bargersville wedding photographer, I’ve learned how essential thoughtful planning can be during hot summer weddings — and this day hit all the right notes, especially when it came to capturing golden hour magic.
Getting Ready and a Traditional Catholic Ceremony at St. Roch

Ally and Eddie began their day at St. Roch Catholic Church, a beautiful and peaceful setting in Indianapolis that offered space for both pre-ceremony preparations and a full Catholic Mass. Ally got ready in one of the church rooms — a quiet space filled with excitement and emotion as her bridesmaids and family helped her into her gown.

The ceremony itself was rich in tradition. As part of the Catholic Mass, the couple participated in an offering to Mary, a quiet moment of reflection and reverence that always photographs beautifully. The church’s architecture, soft light, and meaningful liturgy gave a timeless quality to every image.

By including getting ready photos at the church, we created a cohesive visual story from the first quiet moments through the vows. These small moments often become some of the most treasured images.
Reception Details at The Sycamore at Mallow Run

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to The Sycamore at Mallow Run — a venue that seamlessly blends modern elegance with rustic vineyard vibes. The June greenery was in full bloom, and the late afternoon light danced through the vines and trees that line the property.

Inside the reception space, the couple’s personal touches added so much joy to the atmosphere. Their new shared last name, Schotts, became the inspiration for one of the most clever and fun wedding favors I’ve seen: custom M&M "Schotts" in shot glasses. These favors were as delightful to photograph as they were to enjoy!

Just before being announced into their reception, the wedding party added a high-energy twist with custom rally towels. It was the kind of detail that perfectly reflected the couple’s fun-loving nature and got the crowd cheering.

From speeches and first dances to great food and unforgettable dance floor moments, the Sycamore at Mallow Run wedding reception delivered an experience that felt fresh and sophisticated while maintaining a relaxed, summer-party vibe.
